Examine your hands to see what you can discover: How many lines do you think there are in total? What exactly is the distinction between fine and deep? Is the structure of the bones knobby or smooth? Which way do the fingerprints whorl?

In a palm reading, each of these features is supposed to indicate a different facet of your personality. Skeptics regard palm reading, like tarot and astrology, as little more than guesswork. Even individuals who practise palmistry, a practise that involves interpreting the lines and forms on the hand and is considered to have originated in India, are not immune.
